Strong, natural-looking nails that can grow without breaking. BIAB adds a thin, flexible layer of builder gel to your own nails, with or without colour on top.
BIAB stands for Builder In A Bottle: a soft builder gel, originally developed by The GelBottle, that is applied to your natural nails. It adds strength and a smooth structure, so weak, thin or bendy nails get the support they need to grow longer without splitting or breaking.
Unlike acrylic or other artificial nails, BIAB works with the length of your own nails and keeps the result natural. Wear it on its own for a fresh, clean look, or add gel polish in the colour of your choice. Combined with a manicure, the cuticles are removed thoroughly first, for an extra neat result.
At our Koninginnebuurt studio we work with The Gel Bottle. At both studios we take time for the natural nail underneath: careful preparation, careful removal, and advice on keeping your nails healthy between appointments.

We look at your nails and remove the previous coating if needed. This is included when your last BIAB was done with us; coming from another salon, add the first-visit removal.
Your nails are shaped, the surface is gently prepared and larger hangnails are removed. With a BIAB manicure the cuticles are removed thoroughly as well.
BIAB is applied in thin layers and cured under a lamp, giving each nail a strong, even shape.

Usually three to four weeks, depending on how fast your nails grow. At your next appointment we remove the old layer and apply a fresh one.
Not when it is applied and removed properly. Most damage comes from peeling it off or removing it roughly. We remove BIAB carefully at the salon.
Gel polish is a thin layer of colour. BIAB is a builder gel that also strengthens the nail and gives it structure. You can combine them: BIAB for strength, gel polish for colour.
Yes. Choose BIAB + Gel Polish for any colour you like, or wear BIAB on its own for a natural finish.
